The Diary is Duped: A Message from the Editor

OK. We can admit when we're wrong.
Earlier today, we posted this still from a FOX News "report":



Turns out, it's fake.

The DoF - along with a multitude of other bloggers (yes, that's
officially the "everyone else was doing it" defense) - posted it
without spending a few minutes on Google to see if it was actually
true, because like, there's just SOOO much porn out there, you know?

Anyway, by lazily posting the fraudulent photo, the DoF found ourselves
guilty of the very same thing we heckle FOX for on a somewhat consistent
basis.


As a result, the Diary of Fools will be re-thinking our "if it's on the Internet,
it must be true" policy.

But there's another side to this (i.e. a way to spin it so it's still FOX's fault):
Doesn't it say a lot about what kind of operation Mr. Murdoch has going over
there that a group of somewhat intelligent people DIDN'T EVEN HESITATE
in thinking that something this asinine was aired on his station?

So, in conclusion, screw you FOX for making us look like a-holes by not
actually reporting this. We expect so much more/less from you.
