This Day in History

1865:
President Lincoln was shot and mortally wounded by John Wilkes Booth while attending the comedy "Our American Cousin" at Ford's Theater in Washington, D.C. While the shooting is most often attributed to Booth's severe distaste for abolition, historians now know it was the loud smacking noise the president produced while eating his Juji Fruits™ coupled with his constant rustling of snack chip bags during the performance that really sent Booth over the edge.

2007:
Singer Don Ho died in Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of 76.
I'm sure this means something to someone.
