This Day in History: 1997

The Food and Drug Administration names six brands of birth control as safe and effective "morning-after" pills, though the Association of Sexually Misinformed Older Brothers continues to advocate the importance of "pulling out" and "doing it while standing up or underwater" in thwarting unwanted pregnancies.

Doesn't ASMOB also advocate "just the tip"?

indeed they do. it looks like somebody's been reading the ASMOB sex ed manual, "Virgins Can't Get Pregnant"

There's more than the tip?

It's worth noting that the ASMOB also has unique ideas concerning the contraceptive properties of Coca-Cola. They've been distributing pamphlets on the quad.

It is technically true that virgins can't get pregnant. The semantic quibble is that said virginity is forfeit in the very early stages of the sweaty, unsatisfying copulation which will inevitably provide the ASMOB member with his cross-eyed, bow-legged child of regret.

Lost my train of thought there.

that same pamphlet also warns of the fatal consequences of an unused erection.

Also known as "blue balls."

"You don't want me to have blue balls do you, baby?"
